Mission and Vision

What is our goal in the long run?

Sagamore Institute is an Indianapolis-based non-profit public policy research organization that promotes education excellence.  Sagamore’s J-1 visa program (P-3-29941) became a designated sponsor under the J-1 teacher program by the U.S. State Department in 2017 and actively began placing teachers for the 2018-19 academic year.

The Sagamore Institute’s J-1 Program exists to provide caring, personalized service to international teachers who seek to serve in US classrooms and to assist US schools with hosting international teachers.  Sagamore is able to sponsor teachers in more than a dozen states throughout the country.  We value our partnerships with schools and school districts who are committed to bringing global competencies to their students and communities.

Our vision is to provide excellent customer service characterized by prompt attention and compassionate care to teachers while efficiently and professionally assisting schools, first in Indiana, and then around the country.
